Greenhouse irrigation water

In hydroponic greenhouses irrigation water is prepared by dissolving concentrated solutions of fertilizer in clean (rain) water. This irrigation water is then distributed across the hydroponic growing systems. Access drain water is collected and reused. With the reuse, the nutrient composition in the drain water is essential to know how much of the concentrated nutrient solutions are needed, to reach the optimal nutrient composition in the fresh irrigation water.

Celine instruments produce accurate and calibrated concentrations of all individual nutrients in the drain and irrigation water. This enables dosing the nutrients to the desired concentrations; and to have full control of the irrigation water to the greenhouse. By doing so the composition of the irrigation water will always be optimal for the crop, in every growing stage, in every kind of weather, under all circumstances. See animation.

VFA in anaerobic fermentation

Celine measures individual volatile fatty acids (VFA), as these are organic ions. On-line measurement of individual VFA components (formate, acetate, propionate, butyrate, etc.) is relevant in anaerobic fermentation processes.

The concentrations of and the balance between the individual VFA components is a good indicator of the health of the anaerobic fermentation process. On-line control of the individual VFA components helps increase biogas production.
